Todavía por la noche se levanta y distribuye a su familia la pitanza

«Todavía por la noche se levanta y distribuye a su familia la pitanza» (Prov 31, 15). La viñeta de la cocina con la luna como testigo. Lo que más me gusta de ella es la tetera de cobre y el paño de cocina (tengo uno igual en casa). Lo que menos, quizá, la cantidad de colores y ¼ punto que llevan las tres jarras del suelo, se hace muy pesado de bordar.

Es compañera de la viñeta de las labores: está a la misma altura en el lado opuesto del dechado; es decir, que cae encima del pliegue y el gráfico viene dividido en dos páginas. Resultó ligeramente más sencillo de trabajar que la anterior, o bien porque los grupos de colores tienen más puntos, o bien porque al ser la segunda viñeta partida ya tenía experiencia para lidiar con ella. Aun así tardé nueve días en completarla.

«She rises before dawn and gives food to her household» (Prov 31, 15). The kitchen verse with the moon as her witness. Both the kettle and the hanging cloth are my favourite (I have a cloth just like that), while the pots on the floor proved quite tiresome to stitch, for they have too many colours and ¼ stitches.

This panel mirrors the crafter panel on the opposite side of the sampler since they are placed at the same level, and it also falls on the fabric fold. Even so this one was slightly easier to stitch, perhaps because the groups of stitches of the same colour were larger or because I was already used to work with a chart cut in half. Nevertheless it took me nine days to complete.
