¡Ya estoy en casa! Sana y salva y sin encontrar demasiados desperfectos en casa a pesar del
accidente, solo se rompió el cable de la línea telefónica pero me lo han reparado en menos de doce horas desde que di el aviso de avería. Poco tejer y mucho nadar, este año no hay foto de
medusas gigantes. Pero me lo pasé igual de bien. :-)
I am back! Sound and safe and finding little damage at home despite the accident -- only the telephone line was broken and thankfully repaired within 12 hours since I reported. Little knitting and much swimming time, no photo of giant jellyfishes this year. But it was fun anyway. :-)

Justo horas antes de salir de viaje terminé el chal Rock Island que
me comprometí a tejer durante los Ravelénicos de verano. Con mucha gente advirtiéndome sobre este patrón (difícil, pesado, desesperante) pero aun así lo hice sin modificarlo en apenas ¡12 días! Dormí poco y no tuve tiempo de hacer ninguna otra cosa; tejí sin parar durante doce tardes viendo los juegos y echando pestes de los árbitros a la pantalla.
Just hours before my departure I finished and blocked the Rock Island shawl I committed myself to knit during this summer's Ravellenics. Many people warning me of this pattern (difficult, tedious, nerve-wracking) but nevertheless, I made it without any mod in just 12 days! Little I slept and without time for anything else, I knitted for twelve afternoons non-stop watching the games and talking ill about the referees to my screen.

27/07: CO. 2 am. Yawn.
28/07: Edging chart repetition 15 mins each.
29/07: 56 of 71 reps. Footballers eliminated. Too angry to knit.
30/07: Worst Olympic Games ever. Went to the beach. No knitting today.
31/07: 71 of 71 reps. Zero mistakes. 190cm of lace. Picking up sts & working triangle.
01/08: 10 rows spider lace. Sixth day, first medal. It was about time!
02/08: 15 rows spider lace only. Bad knitting day, spent half afternoon mending and hiding mistakes.
03/08: Finished spider lace. Didn’t watch the games today. Not interested in athletics.
04/08: Knitting garter body.
05/08: Still knitting garter body. Moorray won gold. Are you kidding me? Meh. WOG ever.
06/08: Finished! I am awesome.
Lo gracioso del tema es que España empezó a ganar medallas en cuanto dejé de tejer. ¡Ja!
Funny thing, Spain started to win medals just after I stopped knitting. Ha!
