Sewing

Pasito a pasito

As I told you previously, I took a serious step towards learning how to use the sewing machine in my spare time. The foot control pedal and I are just getting acquainted, still not in a friendly relationship. I didn't break the motor yet but already clogged the bobbin case twice. Good news is I was able to fix it alone (it wasn't that bad, only too much wrapped thread). I can make straight seams now so the next class will be trying to sew a hem. Let's see whether I can keep the distance with the edge or get dizzy over the cliff.

I am so proud!

  1. And you've got every right to be proud! Yay! You will love how fast you can make clothes and other projects. Soon your sewing machine will seem like an old friend, and you will grab a drink and have a nice long chat with her, then miraculously you will have a beautiful project finished! Ah, the life of a seamstress is very similar to the story of Cinderella. LOL. Love your fabulous stitching!
It's raining and cold, perfect for laundry, lol.
    Have a lovely week!

    1. If only ironing wasn't a must when sewing! I can't wait to try and make some simple things to see what I'm capable of. My goal is being able to sew sleeveless shirts for the summer but I know I have a long road ahead. Ah, but practicing is so much fun! :-)
Enjoy your rainy day and stay crafty indoors!
