The pattern all knitter must knit (or so it seems), wrongly addressed as sweater because it is just a cardigan. It was painful to finish. So. Boring. The lace body seemed endless, just repeating and repeating and... Neverending!
It was supposedly to be knitted by mum who is way faster and less whiner than I, but she said she couldn't knit the lace and gave up after making the yoke. Her excuse was she couldn't see the stitch clearly because the yarn was pretty dark so in the end I had to work on the worst part.

I finished it last February but I hadn't worn it yet. Bad choice: I gained the weight I had lost last year and now the cardigan is too small, the collar is very tight and uncomfortable. I don't like wearing tight clothes nor negative ease trends, so I hope the garment stretchs a little from using it or I would have to send it to exile into the wardrobe again till the next fright makes me lose weight again (crossing my fingers!).

Will I repeat? Idoubt it have plans... for any of my dolls. Adult size, I don't think so. If I knit it again, I will use the basic pattern to knit the lace I fancy. No flaring sleeves.
Will I repeat? I
Anda queeeeeeee....
A ti te queda estupenda.
ReplyDelete¡Gracias!
DeleteME ENCANTA COMO TE QUEDO DE VERDAD
ReplyDeleteY TE VES MUY BIEN CON LA REBECA PERO UFFF COMO TE ENTIENDO CUANDO UN TRICOT ES ABURRIDO ABURRIDO ES
BESITOS GUAPA
Besos,
Laura.
Nooo, no te fíes de mis ánimos, jajaja. Es que soy una quejica. ;-)
Si no... jeje.
Besitos y feliz finde.
I do love that pattern. I think your mom really wanted you to knit this one yourself. I can hear her saying, "you can do it" as she pretends not to want to knit the lace. Parents have a way of doing that. lol The sweater is quite lovely!
ReplyDeleteHaha, I am sure you are right about that. She has been pestering me with that pattern for a while and when it comes to knit, she suddenly doesn't understand how to make that lace. ;-)
DeleteThank you, my friend!
Oh my, the sweater is gorgeous! And I LOVE the color purple. You are a much better at knitting than I am. I make too many mistakes.
ReplyDeleteI need a new reader that will tell me when you post.
It's blue! It's not purple. I knew that. I must be tired. (or crazy) ;)
