BAMCAL 2016 — March

Tears from Heaven

Tears from Heaven
Lana: Katia Fama en violeta (615), verde claro (607) y azul celeste (503), 100% acrílico.
Ganchillo: 3.5 mm.

¡Feliz semana!
Tears from Heaven
Lopsided Tears from Heaven

March is ending and daylight saving time just happened. This year I am struggling for first time trying to adapt to the changes and suffered from 'jetlag' for three days. There is nothing worse than summer time if you ask me. Put it together with the beginning of spring and staying up too late during the Holy Week festivities and you got me.

This month's square isn't my cup of tea. My least favourite from all three I made to be true. The central part is supposed to be a flower. Well, you can say it is if you have enough imagination or the colour scheme was different. I wanted to start it with green yarn because last months were blue (January) and purple (February). Maybe it would have looked great with a lacy design but this one is too solid and the choice was unfortunate —or maybe not if you are into blues.

Tears from Heaven
Yarn: Katia Fama 100% acrylic in dark purple (615), light green (607) & light blue (503).
Hook: 3,5 mm / US E.
Size: 12 cm (5")
Pattern: Tears from Heaven by Melinda Miller.

This time, however, we weren't lucky and the square remained lopsided. Solid double-crochet design made with acrylic? There isn't Photoshop enough to fix that. The bright side is we are getting more and more minutes of sunlight everyday and it shows in the pictures. Did you notice the burst of colour compared to last months? Spring is sadly here!

Thank you very much for your visit.
Have a nice week!

  5. I can see the flower! I think you just like green better because it is such a lovely color.
Orange is my favorite these days, and I want orange socks, but first I have to finish my hateful ones. ;)
It's warmer here already, and Goodman and I are dreading the heat. We love sweater weather.
Daylight saving time began here on March 13. I don't like it because school starts early and we see kids standing alone in the dark waiting for the bus to ride to school. That is dangerous in a country full of illegal immigrants who make their living by selling children.
    Don't get me started....
    Have a lovely weekend!

    1. Oh I prefer it green because everything green looks perfect to me. ;-) Orange is also great, warm and cosy, another favourite.
It's getting warmer here too. Daylight saving time is a mistake if you ask me. I don't see the "saving" anywhere. But that is something I can't discuss in my country where everybody but me finds a blessing having sunlight after 9 p.m. Oh well.
May you have a wonderful April!
