Cuadradito Corazón Psicodélico |
→ English
No, ¿verdad? Yo tampoco.

February is ending soon so I am showing you my BAMCAL 2016 monthly square. It has a heart, of course. Couldn't be otherwise in the "lovers month", right? Someone surprised? Not me either.
I wanted to stick to January square's colours but I must confess I am not happy with the result. It would have looked much better with warm colours (not biased, mind you, not at all). However I try to cheer myself up thinking that this way it will be easier to match them all together at the end of the year. Or so I hope.
Granny Heart Square
Yarn: Katia Fama 100% acrylic in dark purple (615), light green (607) y light blue (503).
Hook: 3,5 mm / US E.
Size: 12 cm (5")
Pattern: Granny Heart Square by Crochet Tea Party.
By the way, let me tell you there is no use in trying to block an acrylic granny square. You simply cannot. If trying to make a square out of a circle is difficult crochetwise, just try out of a heart. Oh how much I love you, St. Photoshop!!! ;-)
Thank you very much for your visit.
Have a nice weekend!

DeleteBesos.
Your February square looks great, and I think you'll be very glad you stuck to your color scheme. I never block acrylic crocheted anything, either. The yarn has a mind of its own.
ReplyDeleteWe are warming here with daffodils blooming.
Hope your weekend is nice, too!
I hope these faint regrets will fade with time. Blocking acrylic is useless but I always try to, who knows one day the yarn obeys. ;-)
DeleteWe're having a cold front above us at the moment. Snowy weekend for most, just chilly and dry for me. Enjoy your blooming garden!
DeleteUn besito.
It is beautiful - especially the heart! I don't know why you needed photoshop when it looks perfect!
ReplyDeleteThank you! Blocking acrylic is not possible so Photoshop was the only way to "iron" the edges until they looked smooth. Small tricks of a stubborn crafter! ;-)
DeleteMy oh my! Qué difícil me parece esto que haces!!
ReplyDelete¡Qué va a ser difícil! En diez minutos lo tienes hecho, venga. ;-)
DeleteUn besito.
Hi Alhana,
ReplyDeleteYou made the pretties square. I love the pretty heart in the middle.
Wishing you a wonderful week.
Julie
Thank you, Julie! I'm glad you like it. This granny heart is one of the most well-made crochet ones I've seen.
DeleteHave a great week!
I agree, blocking acrylic is pointless. I do love this granny square motif. :-)
ReplyDeleteIt's a cute and clever design. :-)
