To T. who likes reading about life in Spain through my posts. :-)

This is how our contryside looks like: white soil, high temperatures, bright sunlight and dry atmosphere.
And, of course... palmtrees.
I hope you enjoyed my tour!

ReplyDelete¡Gracias! Fue un día fantástico.
DeleteWhat an interesting post! A lovely visit to the country in Spain is just what I needed today. It is overcast and dreary here in my corner. It's so nice of you to share this. All of the pictures are fabulous!
ReplyDeleteThe lantana and bindweed are beautiful flowers. I have never seen an olive tree or a pomegranate tree so I am curious about them. The fruits are glorious. Homemade olive oil is something I would try making if I had an olive tree, but they don't grow where I live.
I love the picture of the food cooking over the fire! It must have been fun to watch. And the orange sponge cake looks simply delicious!
Thank you for taking the pictures and sharing them here on your blog. There is so much to love in Spain. :D
Have a wonderful week!
p.s. I will visit this post many times as there is simply much to see.
I am glad you liked it! I couldn't help thinking of you while taking the pictures. I wish I could live there, in these friends' land! It is a quiet little place, far from the road and surrounded by neighbours.
DeleteVisit as many times as you like! Just bear in mind that Spain has five different climates: this is the semiarid (desert-like) and can be found only in this area (Southeast). In other regions, the soil is darker and richer and they grow another type of vegetables and trees thanks to regular rains.
Homemade olive oil is common here. You just grow the trees and harvest the olives, then take them to an oil mill. This kind of oil is stronger than the one you can buy at supermarket and lasts longer.
Have a nice week!
¡Fabulosas fotos!
Estic dessitjant tornar-hi.
DeleteI enjoyed this tour. It makes me feel as I were there. And it reminds me of so many movies that I have sent that were set in the Spanish countryside. So I guess the movies were telling the truth. Oh, that arroz con pollo looks so delicious and I can smell it way over here. Everything you have shown is just truly wonderful. Now you make me want to watch one of those films and dream that I am there. :-)
ReplyDeleteI was thinking of you often when I was there. I thought it would be nice to bring you there if you ever come to visit, and how we would walk from town to this land (about 50 mins walking) taking photos and chatting about things we see on the road. Of course, you would try this dish too. Let's hope we can make this dream reality someday, shall we? :-)
DeleteLINDAS FRUTAS Y FLORES----
ReplyDeleteTODO EL CAMPO ES LINDO.
BUENO CASI SIEMPRE.
Y LA TORTA DIVINA.
SALUDITOS
Muchas gracias, Alicia.
