I have decided to finish this after a year and a half without working on it, thanks to my dear mother's kind comments "star shaped? useless thing!" everytime she saw it on my hands. I just can't stand to see it unfinished and forgotten everytime I open the yarn box. It is actually useless at the moment and I don't think that is going to change soon. Now I am a bit depressed to have made something nobody is going to use. Let's see what happens to it once it is finished. Only weaving in ends and blocking is left - and still have to find a place to block it!
Waiting for a friend's child to finally be born on winter, pretty please...

It's beautiful. And not useless. It could be the first item in your new shop. *hint, hint* :-D
ReplyDeleteI think it's cool. Baby afghans in modern shapes like this are very popular here in the USA, right now. Sometimes when I see a new style it takes me a while to get used to it so maybe your mother is the same way.
Besitos
Eva
Oh wow! What wonderful colours! I really love this x
ReplyDelete@Libby: actually I have thought about that but I am afraid nobody woud buy it! lol
ReplyDelete@Tea: here handmade things are not popular, no matter which shape. Young parents prefer to buy something cool at a trendy baby shop. Sadly I don't think my mother is changing her mind, the afghan is too pointy (and therefore useless) for her taste.
Pues me encanta.
