Celtic Knot

Celtic Knot
Doesn't it look like a Celtic knot?

Libby invited me to join a CAL* in our Ravelry group and I said yes -it seems I don't have enough unfinished projects. Thankfully this month's project was very easy: an original weaved hotpad. I reluctantly started it because I don't like 'useless' hotpads/dishcloths, my mother made more than enough years ago and the cupboards at home are full of them! Anyway, since I had said yes in the group forum -yes, I can!- I had no option but to make it. And know what? I think it's lovely and I'm really going to use it. Anyone wants one? Just tell me your fav colour. :-D

* CAL stands for Crochet Along.

  1. I'm glad that you decided to make the hotpad too, and I'm proud of you for finishing so quickly. I think that I will also use mine. I only have a few things like that and they are made of straw. These would make nice things to put in gift bags. It would be something simple, but made by hand. :-)

Yours looks lovely, I really like it!

  3. @Libby: yes, that was quick! A one-evening pattern. I think you're right about giving them as handmade gifts, Christmas colours would look beautiful :-D

@Alessandra: I was thinking of using just two shades of green, but found that remaining light yellow in stash from a pair of striped socks my mother had knitted :-)
