Siempre me pasa igual, ¿cuándo aprenderé?

Pastel Rainbow Baby Blanket II
Consejo: tutorial de So, I make stuff para esconder los cabos mientras se teje → Weave in ends as you go.

Muchas gracias por leerme.
¡Feliz y frío adviento!
Pastel Rainbow Baby Blanket II
Lying on the sofa

It has been a while since I last shared a finished project! In these last two months I barely touched my needles and yet couldn't find a moment to post a couple of pictures. Looks like I am beyond redemption, getting embroiled in too many things and not finishing any.

Despite the LYS hindrance I managed to finish my second Pastel Rainbow blanket in time, although baby L. was born before I shipped it. Same story yet again, will I ever learn?

Rainbow feathers & fans

It looks almost the same as my first Pastel Rainbow Baby Blanket but for two colours, yellow and orange. I had to find a similar replacement for them so the rainbow didn't get abruptly interrupted. All they had was "baby" (ahem) yellow and "baby" (ahem, ahem) salmon pink yarn.

I don't want to get worked up once again due to the colours issue. If you have no idea what is this all about and would like to know, you can read the manifesto I wrote about after my yarn odissey.

Otherwise this blanket has the same size, quality and technical features as the previous one.

Sweet dreams

I also purchased a baby pale pink box with a sweet stars print that will come in handy for L.'s mum to store in clothes or decorate the baby's room. But that is not all! As you can see, there is still plenty of room in the box and of course I had to include something else —but that is another story and shall be told another time. ;-)

Thank you very much for reading.
Happy & cold Advent season!

  1. Before reading the post I actually thought you are writing about the same (first ) baby blanket. Didn't even notice the change of those two colors. It looks beautiful! And it is such a great gift to young moms. I wish I could bring mine to end.

    1. Thank you, Maya! The changes are subtle as I was able to find another shade of the same colours but you can easily notice the pale/bold yellow and salmon pink/bold orange differences if you compare both blankets. On this one looks like two shades of pink were used instead. Anyway, I don't think I can ever get tired of this pattern and colour scheme! :-)

      Otro beso para ti.

  4. This baby blanket is absolutely gorgeous! Love the colorway and you know I'm always a fan of your stitchwork. I think you finished in good time. I remember finishing up a blanket when the baby was 5 months and when I delivered it the mom told me she was pregnant again. Needless to say, the two shared that blanket. :-)

    1. Thank you, Libby! Thankfully the baby is still sleeping on a craddle and won't need this blanket until they move her to the crib. Your story made me laugh, in the end the blanket came in handy despite the delay! ;-)
