I have been wanting a purple sweater for a while and planned to knit one this autumn. However, from time to time, I went back to that stash picture I took last April and couldn't help but notice that it hasn't decreased a bit despite my efforts - OK, not much effort really. I just couldn't think of something good enough to make with all those unmatching skeins. I absolutely cannot buy more yarn!
And then I saw it: I had a purple skein already! Too bad I bought it for a ripple blanket I have been planning for a while (...seriously, I ought to stop planning and start knitting). Too bad a big 7oz. skein is not enough to cover this little body of mine. But, oh, I also had that blue and watermelon skeins that came with the purple one. Maybe I could make a striped sweater with them? A top-down seamless ranglan sweater? :-D
From blanket to sweater... and beyond! |
p.s.
Yes, those dragonfly stitch-markers had a purpose. ;-)

ReplyDeleteThank you girls for your encouragement! It is going to be a very colourful sweater and I am not used to wear such clothes. Let's see what happens. ;-)
Wow, those colors really pop in a beautiful way! I know it's going to be a gorgeous sweater! And you knitting is so very even..I'm jealous.
ReplyDeleteHave a great week!
ReplyDeleteGenial idea!!!! te va a quedar chulisimo!!!!
ReplyDeletePues te va a quedar monísimo! ¡Que viva la reducción de stash!
ReplyDeleteUn abrazo,
SIONA
@Tea: you can't be! But I admit they are pretty even, I still can't believe that (I used to be such a bad impatient knitter). :-D
@Lolita & Siona: ¡muchas gracias!
